Stalite rotary kiln fired expanded slate products have 50% more surface area than typical stone or sand for higher nutrient and TSS removal in storm water and wastewater treatment applications. The high hydraulic conductivity allows fast, free drainage of filtered materials. It is sterile and inert and therefore environmentally friendly. Over 1,000 tests are conducted weekly at our manufacturing facility assuring product consistency. Stalite is avialbe in a full range of gradations that enhance performacne levels in sand filters, subsurface systems, and constructed wetlands.
